totally anesthetized

today is a good day, so far.
let's see, rolled out of bed around 10.
ate pancakes around 10:30.
cleaned up the kitchen.
and now i'm here.

jasmine and carl spent the weekend moving out into their new apartment. yesterday i went over with my mom and together, we cleaned their kitchen. stove, fridge, cabinets - the works. and the whole time i was thinking "nice, i'm gonna go home and unpack my drawing table and all that crap and set it all up again in the basement, and put all my stuff into the second bathroom. organize the computer area... etc. sweet!"
but by the time i got home, all the energy i could muster was to read my new book, and eat dinner. bah.

oh! new progress on the seamus front : he takes REAL walks now! with alot of coaxing and leash tugging, but he's getting better. but this is really exciting for me for a few reasons, this means he's a real dog. haha, i had suspicions that he would never learn to act like a real dog. and he's walking on pavement which file his nails a bit... and they won't be so skin-tearingly sharp.
yeeow!
he still squats though... no leg-lifting to pee.

note: i have to get a tall adjustable stool for my drawing table. i hate these low chairs.

ok so i just lef tthis here on my screen fo about an hour and a half.
i'm back.
where did i go?

i showered.

anyway. what am i going to do with the rest of my day? i was considering taking seamus for a little ride in the car to princeton to see the flower station "agents."
i'm going over to tommy's around 7, but what to do till then?
i have to finish my skirt for the wedding so i can start on angelas dress. yikes. maybe i should do that?
it's just so nice out. i don't feel like cutting and sewing in my house. :(
i also considered taking seamus to roosevelt park to run around and lie in the shade of a tree.
he's outdoorsy like that.
or i could just sit here and putz around on the computer doing absolutely nothing.
i will probably finish my skirt.
i'm excited to see wisconsin.
have i already mentioned that?

i don't look forward to work tomorrow.
working for those people who have no idea how to run a flower shop.
yikes.
i would do better as an accountant than these people are doing as florists.
it's like, hey how about you get some flowers that look good? and "alive" would be a perk too.
thanks.

ok i'm out.

the light is bright and glares on white walls.

"i would do better as an accountant than these people are doing as florists."

you're an amazing floral designer, and really good at plenty of things, but i'm pretty confident that ANYONE would be a better accountant than you.

yeah but for me to be a better accountant than they are at running a flower shop is, then, pretty pathetic.
